What is Mimosa Day?

Mimosa Day is the Italian name for International Women's Day set by the United Nations.

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8th each year. Also known as International Women's Day, International Women's Day, International Women's Day.

A day to commemorate the 1908 Struggle for Women's Political Freedom and Equality, when women workers demonstrated in New York City demanding better working conditions.

Mimosa stamp sticker

We have prepared a special sticker for the celebration of Mimosa Day on March 8th (Tuesday).

As always, the illustrations are by Peko Asano. Not only are they beautiful, but I also feel that the leaves are full of power.

This mimosa sticker is a gift from me to you, and I hope it will also be a gift from you to your precious women. I think so, and the seal is in the shape of a stamp.

If you place an order by 10:00 am on March 21st (Monday), we will put one in the delivery box and send it to you.

In addition, we will enclose one unused stamp-type sticker for each order.

mimosa day wrapping set

We have prepared a free wrapping set of mimosa stamp stickers and paper bags.

The slightly greenish gray of the paper bag reminds me of mimosa leaves. The seal is the same as a mimosa stamp seal.

You can choose from each product page.

* Mimosa day wrapping set is attached to the product. Please do the packing yourself.

Column, Happy Mimosa Day

I know that flower shops turn yellow at this time of year. The yellow color is actually a mimosa flower.

But since I was born, I didn't know anything about International Women's Day. It is said to be March 8th, when women workers in the United States demonstrated for women's suffrage.

Stop suddenly. The word "woman"... who exactly are you referring to? A person who was born with a female body? What about those who have more or less femininity at heart? Who is physically female, but who is not bound by gender dualism?

Considering the origin of International Women's Day, it can be said that it is the day of those who were born female because it is the day when they were born to seek better working conditions and women's suffrage.
For a physically fit woman like me to worry about who to vote for before an election, or to say no to going because it's too much trouble, there are many jobs, including politicians. The choice of employment and the working environment were made possible only by the female workers who staged a demonstration on March 8, 1908, and those who followed.
A big thank you to our predecessors.

However, today, when I think about it based on the hardships of my predecessors, I can feel that my understanding of gender has been renewed. We have begun to realize that it is more honest to deal with "the person" before recognizing it as a man, a woman, and so on. Gender isn't fixed, it's something you can decide for yourself.
The realization itself may be our newly won privilege.

Back on topic. World Women's Day is called Mimosa Day in Italy, and mimosa flowers are given to close women with love and friendship. It seems that he also holds a girls' party among his friends.
I remember a happy day at the beginning of spring.

I liked "Mimosa Day" and wanted to share it with you because the mimosa flowers were bright yellow instead of red or pink.
Of course, red and pink are also nice colors, but for me, it's the color I want to choose for myself.

If I get one, I'd like a yellow flower.
