About hair creperie size adjustment

I want to loosen the elastic of ITSUKI's original nightcap and hair creperie. Or you want to make your mouth smaller for your child.

For those of you who are like that, I summarized how to adjust the size.

Loosen the rubber on the cover (required time 15 minutes)

How to loosen the hair creperie rubber

what to prepare

  • hair creperie
  • 2-3 bath towels
  • Patch cloth
  • steam iron or hair dryer

Adjustment method

  1. flip the hair creperie
  2. Wrap the hair creperie cover around 2-3 folded bath towels so that the elastic is stretched to the maximum.
Depending on the volume of the bath towel, add more towels if the rubber does not stretch, or reduce it if it does not fit in the opening.
  3. Cover the rubber parts with a damp cloth and heat the rubber parts for 10 minutes with a steam iron or hair dryer. Shift the place to apply heat to the left and right every 10 seconds.
  4. Once it cools down, try it on. If you want to stretch it further, return to step 2 and apply heat for 5 minutes in the same procedure, wait until it cools down, and check the size again.

Please be careful

  • Be careful not to damage or injure yourself, and work at your own risk.
  • Please be careful not to pull the main body too strongly as it will damage the fabric and rubber.
  • If you loosen the rubber too much at once, you won't be able to redo it, so please stretch it out little by little as explained.
  • Please note that if the color of the object to which the rubber is fixed is dark, color transfer may occur.
  • Avoid exposing the silk fabric to heat as steam or heat can cause the silk to shrink.

Reduce the cover (required time 15 minutes)
