[Sister Product Development Diary] A completely new nightcap for people with short hair born from customer feedback

This time, we have released a completely new nightcap following the hair creperie.

Her name is "Sister".

This sister is a night cap born from the opinions of customers who use hair creperies.

In my new work, I want to meet the needs that cannot be covered by hair creperies.

It's been about two years since the ITSUKI brand started. I read customer reviews, questionnaires, comments on SNS, etc. with an open eye.

For many of your comments,

  • Too big
  • rubber too tight
  • I take off my clothes when I wake up
  • back hair pops

These were the four main points.

This is a bit off topic, but we have updated the size of the hair crepery rubber about twice, and settled on the current size based on the results of customer surveys.

Of course, no one has the same head shape, so it's the best fit for everyone! That's impossible, but as a designer, I can give my stamp of approval that the current size is the best.

So, I'm left with these two comments.

  • too big (solved)
  • Rubber too tight (Solved)
  • I take off my clothes when I wake up
  • back hair pops

As for the feeling of taking off when you wake up, it has been improved considerably by adjusting the size of the rubber. However, it seems that there are some parts that are inadequate for customers who want "absolutely" not to take off. For example, it's like sleeping with a knit cap on, so it's possible that you'll take it off for some reason.

One more point about the back hair splashing, if the hair is long, it basically has its own weight, so it won't bounce upwards. So, this problem happens to people with hair that is shorter than shoulder length.

And myself, while trying hair creperies with various hair lengths, I found that people with short hair wore hair creperies better than those with long hair who could wrap their hair around. I also noticed that it might come off easily.

Therefore, we started developing the new product with the absolute condition that it should be designed for people with short hair and should not be taken off.

What was born was a completely new nightcap "Sister" that tied a ribbon under the chin.

If you can clearly see the absolute conditions and the image of the person who will use it, the design will naturally be decided.

The hair creperie is designed to be worn from the bottom up, like a hair band, so that the back hair can be tucked into the nightcap, but in the new "Sister", on the contrary, it is worn with a normal hat. As with the time, it is worn from above.

Simply put, if your hair is shorter than your shoulders, it will be covered by your hat so it won't fly upwards.

And by tying the ribbon under the chin, it is unlikely that it will come off.

Of course, the same silk cotton as before is used for the material of the surface that touches the hair. ――We used a new original textile for the outer fabric this time, but since it's going to be long, we'll cover that in another article.

"Sister" and "Hair Creperie", recommended models by hair length

Of course, you can choose any design you like, but I, the designer, would like to tell you the recommended model for each hair length.

Hair creperie for shoulder length hair

If your hair is longer than your shoulders, I highly recommend the hair creperie. Sister is a model made for people with short hair, so it is not supposed to protect the hair below the shoulders from chafing.

In that regard, the hair creperie can automatically retract long hair into the nightcap to protect it from chafing.

Sister if your hair is shorter than your shoulders

If your hair is shorter than your shoulders, please try Sister. Unlike other nightcaps, there is no need to tuck your hair into the nightcap. Just brush your hair, pop it over and tie a ribbon under your chin.

I'm sure there are some people who have doubts about whether it's painful, but please don't worry. The designer repeatedly tried and adjusted the angle of the hat to create a unique design that can be fixed by tying the ribbon under the chin instead of the neck.

If you tie it under your chin, you won't feel any pain.

Those who want to choose a model that does not come off easily, regardless of the length of the hair

Considering only how difficult it is to take off, we recommend a sister that can be fixed with a ribbon.

However, as explained in the "Hair creperie for people with longer than shoulder hair" section, the hair outside the hat cannot prevent friction, so please consider carefully in advance.

Those who want to tie their hair around the neck regardless of the length of the hair

If you want to tie your back hair together, we recommend a hair creperie.

By the way, if you put all your short hair in the hair creperie and pull it up, the neckline may pop off.

As a solution, it is recommended to put the neckline outside and wear it. Alternatively, part the back hair to the left and right, and the right hair to the left ear. If you put the left hair in the right ear and sleep, it will not bounce upwards, so please refer to it.

sister's design source

night cap

ITSUKI's night cap is inspired by hair creperies, sisters, and ingenious ways to wear scarves.

The hair creperie looks like a turban when worn, but Sister looks like a Machikomaki.

However, this time, I also used the bonnets worn by ordinary women and Amish women in medieval Europe.

I named her "Sister" because her appearance gives her a nun-like atmosphere.

If you tie it with a ribbon, it will look too girly, but if you tie it like a necktie, it will look like a parka hood.

"Sister" goes well with ruffled negligee, authentic pajamas, and unexpectedly sweatshirts. Please take care of your hair every night.
