Checkered pattern
Many traditional Japanese patterns carry implicit meanings, often referred to as "gan-kake" (wish-making) or "gen-katsugi" (superstition), and the lattice pattern is one such example. Its continuous, intersecting lines symbolize prosperity and eternity.
This series, designed by Eriko Kawakami, reimagines the lattice pattern as its central theme, allowing you to wear a wish for lasting happiness and a brighter future.
